Growing up I never gave communication much thought. I just assumed it was something we all did, and we all did it pretty much the same. My philosophy was to stay away from any conflict so there'd be no need to resolve it. There were people who I liked, and then there was the rest of the world. Now I see with the use of some simple tools like empathy, listening, an understanding of how we protect ourselves, and how we regulate our nervous systems we can come back into harmony with those in which we need to be in relationship.
As the founder of Clearing Conversations, I support and facilitate tough conversations between my clients, as well as, offer classes and workshops to groups and businesses. I have worked with clients such as AirBnB, California Department of Public Health, and Medal.com.
The foundation of my work is built upon the most important part of any ongoing relationship: trust. By teaching the complexity of human interaction through emotional intelligence, nervous system reactions, word choices, defense mechanisms, body language, and neuro-diversity I support others in having fulfilling interactions and communicating what they intend.
I received a bachelor's degree in Sociology from George Washington University and continued my education in Non-Violent Communication, The Coaches Training Institute, Davis Dyslexia Correction Program, and Luminous Body Institute. In the past, I've loved coaching new performers in creating and telling their vulnerable and raw stories on stage.
I also do a lot of navel staring and ego busting activities to keep me on my toes.
